Co-opted Aug 2022

Over the last 15 years my wife and I visited Woodhall Spa many times, especially for the 1940's weekends.18 months ago we decided that we would like to retire to Woodhall Spa and following my retirement moved here from Barton upon Humber.

2021,

During our 16 years in Barton I became quite involved in the community, I served as a town councillor for 7 years, during which time I was chair of the planning committee and had the honour of being elected Deputy mayor and then Mayor, representing the town at many official functions throughout the county.

As a councillor I worked on the annual Christmas Festival (including being Santa for 3 years) the summer Picnic in the Park events and the Towns annual Bike Night. I instigated regular litter picking groups and helped with the council's yearly bulb planting project. As part of the Mayors duties I served on a number of outside committees including North Lincolnshire Council Neighbourhood Action Team and the North Lincolnshire Council Dilapidated Buildings group. During the pandemic I acted as a marshal for the local GP Surgery, when required during public vaccinations.

Since moving to Woodhall Spa I have joined the local Men's Probus Club and have also become a Volunteer Driver.

I trained as an electrical engineer working at the Port Hull, in 1975 and we emigrated to Calgary, Canada and returned to the East Riding after 10 years. The last 16 years of my working life were as sales manager of an industrial equipment manufacturer, working with clients both nationally and internationally.

I look forward to my work on Woodhall Parish Council.
